ok guys, now i know this subject has been covered at length on here but i hear a lot of conflicting stories. Im sure its diff strokes for diff folks" kinda thing....but as the norm, do u usually get ur first one after ur 3rd statement cuts or after 90 days? 2nd statement or 60 days?? Im asking bc I just noticed that my first statement cut on march 11th. Well, I think thats how it goes...lol...my due date is the 8th but statement date is the 11th....but my acct was new so there was only like 12 days in my billing cycle. SOOOO, should I be hitting the "LUV BUTTON" after the 3rd statement even tho i havent tech. had the acct 3 months?
I've never had much luck with the cutting of statements increase...I have noticed with my CapOne accounts that 70 days from activation seems to be the magic number when I was looking for an early increase. But YEMV...
It seems its mostly ymmv from what I've read, I tried at some point last month on mine, probably in the 65 -75 day range and was denied, then tried yesterday (day 91) after third statement cut and boom cli from $500 to $1500.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes.
Outside of Credit Steps and the use of HP increases, I don't know that I've heard of a CLI with CapOne.
I have both a QS1 and a Platinum with Cap One. About 3 months into my credit steps program I was able to get a cli from $500 to $1500. I got both those cards in Feb 2015. Since then, I've received 2 more increases on my cards. One for $500 at the end of my 6 months credit steps program and another for $150 recently. I shouldn't have accepted the $150 and waited until they offered me more since I now have to wait a few more months to get another increase.
