Question About Slate

I wasapproved the other day for the Slate with a crappy $500 CL of which does me no good as far as a BT goes. And as we all know there are no other perks that come with this card.  When I was speaking to the Credit Analyst about an increase she mentioned something about moving some of my Freedom line over to it, but I didn't really want to do that as I wasn't ready to transfer anything to the Slate, just wanted it in case I did need to.

But now I"m wondering, can I just move the $500 from the Slate over to my Freedom and say goodbye to the Slate?  I know it's not really good to open a card and immediately close it, but I have no idea what I'm going to do with this card.  Any suggestions?

yes you can.

I wouldn't suggest applying for BT cards in the future when you don't actually need to BT especially on a card that has a 60 day window of free BT... as you state yourself it's really the only purpose of the card.

Just to defend myself against the accusation that I'm not able to make sound decisions. I did have a personal reason for applying for this card that I didn't necessarily want to disclose in public forum. But since the limit I was given was less than what I needed to use it for, then I am needing to change my plan. But thanks for the info on transfering the limit, that was my main concern. Smiley Wink
