Question For Orchard Card Holders

I Just got a Orchard Gold MC and just received my 1st statement today, i plan on making this the card i keed a 3-7% balance on. If i set up my payment through orchard.com to be on the 26th (friday) will post before the end of the month so the card reports @ 5%ish util? or should i set it up earlier like tomorrow or even today and pay the 12 dollar fee for expediting the payment? Thanks in advance

Re: Question For Orchard Card Holders

honestly with your scores and it being a new account its not going to reflect much at all for the first month- just make sure your payment is in on time and set it up for like 3rd week of next month to start going.

I wouldn't set up any payments on anything ever. Go to the website and make the payments yourself. Or risk being another horror story.

Re: Question For Orchard Card Holders

that is true as well- if you are going to setup auto payments make one payment before the due date then setup auto payment the next week so its 3 weeks early

Re: Question For Orchard Card Holders

well im just trying to show good payment and low util for the long run that way it shows i always paid in full and utilized very little, i am not rebuilding i am actually building credit, the reason my score is so low is for a CO and 2 collections from 4 years ago.. this and a secured wells fargo card are my first credit cards

but can u explain a little about the horror story? what do you mean by that?

Re: Question For Orchard Card Holders

It would kill me to pay a $12 fee just to pay a bill. its like a huge tax just to pay you taxes. I can see that there would be any benefit unless you were trying to avoid being late and possibly a bigger fee. I avoid all fees at all costs, they can add up to a lot of money over time. I am als not a fan of automatic payments. I put due dates on my calendars and make sure they are paid well in advance and check to be sure they clear.

Re: Question For Orchard Card Holders

one senario would be that you forget there is going to be a payment automatically deducted fromyour checking account... You decide to go groceryshopping and dont leave enough in your account to cover the draft and your bank charges you $29 overdraft or NSF fee. if you get the NSF fee then the ccc will also charge you about $39 for a bounced check and you end up $60-$80 in the hole.
