Question Re FNBO AU

Anyone with experience specifically with FNBO and how they process Authorized User Cards?

I looked on my account page and there are 2 options:

Choose ONE option that best describes the reason for the Card Request:

  • I would like this person to receive a card in his or her name.
(If approved, cards will be mailed to the address on file.)
  • I would like this person to have the ability to use any card currently issued on the account.
(This person will not have a card in their name.)

Also "An authorized user cannot make any changes to the account or enroll online. We may report information about your account to credit bureaus. Late payments, missed payments, or other defaults on your account may be reflected in your credit report.

I would basically like to have a duplicate card, so not sure if I should just add myself, but something tells me FNBO would not allow that.  However the 2nd option above sounds exactly like what I want?

Thanks!

Re: Question Re FNBO AU

I opted for option one in order to add the GF. Cards have identical numbers. Her name is just on the cards I ordered for her. I'm a little unclear of what you're trying to do though.

I just want a 2nd card to keep in my safe. You know, how discover, capital one, BoA, etc, you can have more than 1 card for the same account although its not equally as easy (discover is the easiest and lists them by design).

Does she live with you? Did it get reported to the CRs?

Oh ok, I gotcha now. Yes it is reported monthly and she does live with me.

Could you just call for a replacement card? Normally they'll be identical to the replacement.
