Aprile,
My secondary card had it's own unique #.
Thank you for that info. Maybe it will let me find a way to get a 2nd card with the same #.
You have been a big help!
I can also tell you that I have sent friends to the store with my card to buy drinks, gas, cigs whatever when I was too lazy to go and they have never been questioned for an ID some of the purchases have been over $100. It probably depends on the store but maybe you could let them use your card or ask for a duplicate card. My son uses his card a lot on the way to work to grab gas, sodas, sandwiches it has his name on it but he too has never been asked for ID they usually just swipe it ask for the 4 digit code and if he'd like a receipt lol. Goes to show how much our security is monitored doesn't it?
DW has the USAA Amex.
we get 5% back from every drop of gas to the last piece of hair on the 3 day old hot dog on the roller

I am an AU on my wife's and I get the 5%. She has never used her primary card in 2 years

Both of us had the "offer" on our USAA account pages. That might be the trick
I ended up getting a 2nd card in my name.
My Kroger fuel station has a 'Depot", sort of a "walk in mini-mart" type of store.
The inside register codes everything as a gas purchase, from soda to lottery tickets to beer.
It's a shame that my purchase habits do not take me inside that much.
Glad it all worked out for you. Those rewards add up fast. Just remember after $3000 in spend the 5% says it goes down to 1%. I am finding though it actually went to 3% instead of 1%. Since I have maxxed my 5% out for the year Chase Freedom is offering 5% at Walmart and Murphy gas stations code as Walmart for the 5% CB so I have switched to that card until the first of the year.
I think I spend *MAYBE* about $800 per year on gas.
My commute is about 10 miles and gas in Indiana is cheap!!!!
Don't forget anything you buy inside the store counts too, Drinks, snacks, Ice. If you have a WaWa food and stuff counts too.
OK....maybe $900 per year.
LOL!!!
