SO I used a convenience check for $251.00 + 10.00 fee that posted on 3/20. I made a payment of $200.00 (30.00 minimum payment due) on that posted on 3/22. Monthly statement closed on 4/8. Sesquehana visa applied 0.00 to the convenience check balance and all to 0% interest balance. I called them and they said that the statement in which a cash advance or convenience check is posted has to close before they have to credit payments above the minimum to higher interest charges. They further said that even if I make a payment of 300.00 on 4/10 I will be charged interest on the check until the statement closes on 5/8. Is this not illegal?????
