About two months ago I applied and was approved for the Wells Fargo Propel American Express card. Since receiving the card, I've gotten many offers through Wells Fargo's "My Wells Fargo Deals" (which is similar to Amex Offers, Chase Offers, and BOA's BankAmeriDeals; as an Amex network card the Propel receives almost as many Amex Offers as Amex-branded cards, but it also receives some non-Amex offers, fewer than my Chase cards but more than my eligible Bank of America card). Wells Fargo also has a "Go Far Rewards" program (most analogous to Chase Ultimate Rewards or Capital One Shopping), which mostly has deals for online-only purchases made through the Go Far Rewards portal but also does offer a few deals that can be added to and made with the card at either brick & mortar stores or online.
My question relates to My Wells Fargo Deals and Go Far Rewards Offers offered by the same merchant that can both be added to the card. Can someone "double dip" and use both a My Wells Fargo Deal and a Go Far Rewards Offer on the same purchase? I currently have both a Wells Fargo Deal and a Go Far Rewards Offer on the card at Panera Bread; the WF Deal provides 10% off a one-time purchase up to a $2 maximum discount while the Go Far Rewards Offer provides 5 GF Rewards bonus points per $1 spent for a one-time purchase of $20 or more. I'm assuming I could double dip on the offers, but I'm just curious.
I'd appreciate any feedback anyone could provide.
P.S. The My WF Deal offer with Panera Bread is one of the small number of My Wells Fargo Deals I've received that is NOT tied to American Express; presumably this deal could potentially be available for any Wells Fargo card as part of the "My Wells Fargo Deals" offers.
I just wanted to follow up on my own question for anyone who is curious.
About a week ago, I went to Panera Bread and spent over $20, in large part to see if both the "My Wells Fargo Deals" 10% off up to $2 in savings offer and the "Go Far Rewards" 5 bonus points per $1 spent with over $20 in spend offer would both apply if I met the latter deal's threshold. (I was hungry too. ) I can report that both offers were applied, and the Go Far Rewards points I received (both base 3% dining rewards and 5% bonus rewards) were based on my pre-$2 discount cost ($22 and change rather than $20 and change).
I'll note that last item was a little different than when I used a My Wells Fargo Deals offer at Fanatics.com shortly after acquiring the WF Propel; in that case the Go Far Rewards points I received were only based on the post-offer applied cost. The difference may have been due to the fact the Fanatics.com My Wells Fargo Deals offer was an American Express-related offer while the Panera Bread My Wells Fargo Deals offer was a more general offer available on all Wells Fargo credit cards.
At any rate, I thought some people would be interested in learning about this, in case they also get separate offers from retailers that are concurrently available through the My Wells Fargo Deals program and the Go Far Rewards program.
