Question about the Shopping Cart trick

I know that there have been previous threads about the shopping cart trick but thought I would ask in case things have changed.Does anyone know if there is a SP or HP if you accept a preapproved offer for say VS or JCrew credit card? Thanks!

The sct is getting credit cards without taking the HP.  It is a SP only.  Most of Comenity store based cards you can obtain through the sct.  It normally happens after you have added things to your cart and enter your info. You will then get a pre approval for the store card.  It does not happen all the time.  If you accept it through the sct it is still a sp.  Cold apping is when you initiate the request for credit.

I didnt realize that paypal also does it until I tried to make a purchase last night.At least Im assuming thats what it was.I had to try three times to use my own card because the pop up window kept coming on for their credit card.
