My Capital One statement always shows around the 22nd or 23rd but is dated the 21st of the month. I paid my balance to $4 so it would report something yesterday. Now my question is, WHEN on the 21st does it report and post the balance? Is it tonight at 11:59pm or was it at 12:00am last night beginning on the 21st. I want to go christmas shopping but want to use the card for a small cash back instead of nothing at all.
Thanks!
hmmm, good question! i've never really followed my payments that closely. i would say not until tomorrow during business hours, but that's just a guess.
My discover more card goes from the 5th of the current month through the 4th of the next month so any charges that have POSTED (does not include pending), are included in the reporting balance for that statement. Including the ones up until 11:59pm on the night of the 4th. Remember though - posted transactions only. Meaning most likely that you can use your card today or tomorrow to go shopping if you wanted to because they will not post for another day or two after. My personal rule is one day just to play it safe. Hope this helps!

Thats a good idea to check the previous statements and see what dates they included.
Hmm it states October 22-November 21 so I'm guessing that means tonight at 11:59. So no cash back using the card today
