Quick credit card question.

How come the QVC credit card has a magnetic strip when they don't have any brick and motor stores.

On a side note, I got my amazon card today, its just laminated paper.

I too was a bit dissapointed with the laminated Amazon "card'. It could easily find its way to the trash can by mistake.

No, AFAIK Qvc doesn't have a co-branded card

I THINK either shopnbc or HSN does have a Visa, but not sure.

Wanna know what's even weirder? There are lines on the card where it was ran through a reader.

BTW..why did this and the amazon card NOT come with "call 1800xxx To activate" stickers?

Just wondering..since Chase handles the Amazon Visa...is there EVER a rare chance in the future one can get pre-approved for it?

Very odd that it has lines on it like that. Perhaps it's to keep you guessing!

I have the Amazon store card backed by GE, Not Chase. They are two seperate banks/cards and the GE card can not be upgraded to the Chase Visa.

I find the GE card more useful due to the 0% financing available at all times. For whatever reason, Chase denied me for the Amazon Visa, GE approved me for the store card, but then Chase approved me for CSP. Logic.

No, it is not rare at all.  Once you get a decent score it will be pushed every time you check out.  I used to get different sign up offers based on the size of my order.  E.G. Order $41, get an offer for $40 sign up bonus.  Recently it has changed to a strait $70 offer no matter how little my order is.

If you accept the pre-approved offer, expect a HP.  Not to mention the new TL.

Congrats on getting your cards,, interesting about the strip on QVC,,,thanks for sharing the info and keep us posted, as I am thinking of apping a QVC in the future...
