I noticed when applying for my CSP it asked if I rent/own/other, which is the best to put that I rent paying 0 a month or rent paying 200 a month, because the 200 a month shows i have bills and i will pay them, sounds good for credit card lenders, but 0 looks better because then more of my income is free to spend... any advice guys?
Hello Welcome to the Forum,
I would be truthful in anything that they ask you in a application.
well both are true, like i don't consider it rent, my parents call it "living expenses" but that involves food and such, i'm just wondering what way credit card companies look at it
lol true ya sorry i meant other 0 and rent 200, just so nervous about being a newbie on the forum
Its all good. Yeah i would put whatever they are charging you to live there as your rent cause that is pretty much what it is in the end. If its not the same every month just do like an average.

But if they dont charge you anything like the other said just put other and 0
but does anyone know what looks better from the eyes of the credit card company?

What "looks better" is irrelevant. As others have stated, being honest in you app would look better. If your dti is high, you probably shouldnt be applying anyway. the reason they ask is to calculate your overall debt exposure. If your parents are expecting $200 a month and you intend to honor that commitment, then put down $200.
