Most impressive of this story is you getting offered a Joltdude SpecialSmiley Wink. I wonder what it feels like to get 3k Discover cli😏

I can't really explain that one!  We all know how unpredictable Discover can be with a CLI, but I thought that I was pretty steady on the "$500 CLI only, try every 3 months" bandwagon.  I got 3 CLIs on the old card, and each was $500.  I got one previous CLI on the new card, also for $500.

My salary is the same.  My mortgage has actually gotten more expensive since the last time I asked for a CLI.  They always ask you those questions when you ask for a CLI.  My scores and age of accounts hasn't changed much.

The only difference I can see is, that this time I had the card nearly maxed out, where each other time it was paid in full each month or I carried a small (usually under 20%) balance while having a 0% interest period.

So I guess the lesson for me is, if I want another good CLI from Discover, I should max it out before asking!  Smiley Happy

Yeah, even though we have seen it ssid heavy use may not get you a big cli, i have noticed those with a nice limit who have a big balance on it for awhile tend to get big cli . Lol ive tried to go the carry a balance routine , even though not massive like many due to my low income, i cant seem to get past a month without finding the way to put it back to 0 lol. I hate seeing balances if i can help it. My phobia from my first bk. I try to tell myself if i ever have to do so ag as in i dont want to owe a ll my creditors lol.
