Re-applying for CC

I was recently denied credit with Best Buy. How long should wait before I can apply again?

Did they counter you with the Best Buy MasterCard?

Have you burned HSBC in recent passed?

You should apply for something else instead.

Otherwise, give them at least 30 days. Honestly, 6 months would be the best in general.

Re: Re-applying for CC

If you did re-apply I think it's 6 months... but I would not apply for store card until scores over 650. Now if you want HSBC to get building on credit, check pre-approval site on Orchard Bank in 30 days...

Why do you want the BB card? The BB MC is the easiest to get and has an AF. Did you app for the MC or the store card?

You might be able to do what you want with a better card, IMO. Lost of bad press on the forum re that card. Smiley Happy

Re: Re-applying for CC

bb told me on the site on why they declined me.  They said my score was 601, but equifax shows my score at 642 and TU is at 660

Re: Re-applying for CC

It could be they pulled EX, or use a different version of FICO than you're getting (assuming you're getting a true FICO and not a FAKO). They usually give a reason besides the score. You'll probably get a letter, which will let you know why you were denied, and what you can do before you re-apply, so your chances for approval will improve.
