I'm always looking for information on CLI, so thought I'd share my recent experiences. First national of Omaha, had card since May. Carried 800 balance since July, at 0% promo, paid 100 per month, this month paid it off. Total CL 4500. Asked for CLI online, asked for 10k. It was immediate hard pull. Next day, increased to 10k.
BofA, end of June got bankamericard, 7500 limit. There was promo of 5% for grocery, gas, drugstore for 6 months. Have used it heavily for everything, it is 0% til sept 2012, so have been using it for a daily card and carrying balance. Balance at time I asked for CLI was 3200. Asked for 12k. 2 1/2 days later, 12k limit was granted. Oh, and it was just a soft pull. Everything I have read said don't ask for increase if you are carrying a balance, so I wanted to share my experience!
