This past April (well before I started learning on here and Credit Karma) I got stuck buying a plane ticket on short notice. So with a $900 ticket in my cart I applied for the Citi Expedia to get $75 off (did the no fee version). I would estimate my scores to be around 660 back then. They approved me for a 4k CL and it was a World MC. Granted it was the first card I'd applied for in a couple years, and maybe the ticket in the cart had something to do with I don't know, but Chase gave me a much smaller limit on my Freedom in August.
Citi cards may not be as "sexy" as some of the others, but between the relatively high starting CL, 0% APR for purchases and transfers for 1 year, and the very helpful CSRs I've dealt with I would recommend it for a MC for sure.
Good Points - I just checke the Expedia card for myself- It looks good. I would go for it, except it is not going to give me more than the Arrival already does except that $50 or $100 first purchase credit. That might be a good incentive for someone else, though. I just got my Citi 2 months ago, so I do not yet know how Citi is with CLI, but I do know tha Barclays is very good and consistent with theirs.
