Hi everyone, longtime reader, but first time poster.
I am looking to build some relationships with credit unions to work towards higher limits in my rebuilding journey.
Chapter 7 bk discharged in oct 2020, no late payments since.
3 auto loans
10k limit with Rize fcu
10k limit with LBS FCU
3k capital one savor
3k capital one quicksilver
3k paypal credit
1k apple card
various smaller rebuilder cards.
11 inquiries experian in past 24 months
Avg age of accounts 4 years 7 months
Currently at 682 with experian, roughly the same with TU and equifax.
Trying to find credit unions that will match or exceed my 10k limits for the 2 CUs- preferably that pull experian. Any ideas? I am in southern california
@Mdz377 Does the credit union have to be in California? The two have credit cards with are Southern California. With the number of inquires you have I would suggest pausing in apping for new cards. With all those inquires lenders are going to concerns over those inquires.
Hey there @Mdz377. A fan favorite always seems to be NFCU if you qualify.
Also, is there a reason you are hanging onto "rebuilder" cards when you've already got a sufficent number of meaningful bank cards?
I love Affinity FCU. They're a great balance of products, friendliness, and decent tech.

Langley FCU has a dynamite 5% rotator card (pick one of three categories a month, $2000-$3300/month!) - I was a newbie there, and they gave me a $20k CL! (They also offer 10% on the chosen category for the first sixth months!)
PenFed is my favorite, but you've probably already considered them. What about First Tech / Alliant FCU?
Thank you all for the responses so far- will definitely look into those CUs. A couple things I wanted to add:
Have been in business 7 years, but my llc's business credit isnt great. Have a new LLC with a clean slate.
Inquiries on experian are only 3 in the last 6 months after double checking.
Burned chase and amex in BK.
Would love to build back some biz credit if possible- any recs there? Ive heard mixed things about Elan financial and a lot of good things about Key Bank, Truist, and univest. Can anyone speak to these or any others? Or is it better to just stick to CUs for now? Thanks in advance.

Have handled my father's Truist account for him. Would NOT recommend. Definitely not user friendly and poor card selection.

@EasyMark I would disagree with the Langley FCU recommendation. The card works fine if tapped or swiped in a store. But I had problems with the card. See link below
Ultimately I ended the relationship with Langley. All that said that was my experience
It's funny that was your experience- with both Langley and Redstone, contrary to myth I find customer service overall and getting resolution much more frustrating with them than banks in general. With Langley I've had different issues - it took me months to educate them how to calculate rewards amounts over the first few months, as it seemed they had no clue, and my transaction problems were with a health food place they insisted they said was a bar, even though the MCC code (which their credit card people had no idea what that was) showed it as a restaurant, and these were transactions within the place on site, and I dared them to prove there was a bar anywhere on the premises.
