I've been carrying about $45K on my PSL cards for a few months. I've also been letting my Amex Plat statement cut with balances of $10-12K during that same time. This has depressed my scores to just under 700.
Yesterday, I paid everything off except a Discover card that has a $10K balance (it just lost its inroductory 0%). I expect my scores to all bump up to about 750-760 next month. My last late is 36 months ago (but they were serious -- 90+), so I'm definitely on a dirty card.
My plan is to pay the full balance on the Discover card within the next 30 days, but I'd like to have a backup plan in case that doesn't work out. Any reccomendations on a solid BT card I could throw in for?

The best balance transfer cards are credit union, non-rewards, platinum cards with no balance transfer fee and no cash advance fee.

I'm confused a little here
Your signature has " 0 derogs" but then you also have "last late 36 months" and "36% satisfactory" ..what does that mean

Derogs are a catchall for other types of baddies - generally public records (i.e., judgments, bankruptcies). Late payments and collections are separately tracked. I have nearly 30 accounts (mostly student loans from before I consolidated them) with late payments ranging from 30 to 180 days. That's why my signature shows number of accounts with 30+ and 60+ late payments.
My separating these items out in this way is based on a combination of how MyFico, CK, and Experian all display information. For example:

PenFed has a standing 0%/3%/12mo offer on most of their cards even if it isn't advertised. Occasionally they'll mail offer that extend the 0% period up to 18 months. I believe you may be able to find a Citi product with 0%, Amex a couple of cards. So you have options it just depends on which lender you want to hang your hat with.
If you're looking specifically for a card that has $0 balance transfer fee then you selection may get a little smaller. Obtaining 0% will be easy...not paying a fee narrows the search.
I think the best one right now is Wells Fargo Reflect - they are offering 21 months 0% for just a 3% BT fee (works out to roughly 1.7% annualized APR). I recently applied, and got a SL of $7500, which was/is more than enough as far as what I need.
I don't have any inside info on the company, but if you ask me, I think Wells Fargo is being really aggressive right now and wants to really increase new accounts and originations...If you have at least above average credit (with not too many hard inquiries), I think you have a great shot at it.

I second this completely. If you have an affiliation for membership with NFCU, their Platinum card has 0% BT fees and 0% APR for the first 12 months. I got approved for my NFCU Platinum with a TU FICO 8 of 674 with recent derogs still reporting.

This is really helpful. It looks like my promo 0% ends in January, so if I can't get it paid off by then, I'll be knocking on Citi's door. Thank you!
