There's a fair chance verification is involved, even if it's a denial for other reasons in the end. The lack of phone numbers, employment info, etc on my files probably requires manual review, I'm betting. Plus there's the issue of my name formatting weirdly for everything and all 3 bureaus having a different version of it (thanks buggy telephone company website 5 years ago.) I make sure to cram middle initial and suffix even when they only have a place for first and last name, because I have an identical name to my father, who's formal report name is "Mr. Bad Credit" - any confusion between the two would lead to them seeing mountains of foreclosures, repos, leins, chargeoffs, a bk, the works. So I go out of my way to keep my name written out like a twelth century monarch to minimize confusion between my pristine rolling meadow of a file with the wasteland that is....that. Not such a big deal for reports that should be SSN-based, but any Lexis searches or anything by name would get ugly without spearating it. So they may need a human to manually check the report against that name if they're not simply gluing the 2 fields together so it matches exact.
I'm too trusting of corporate boilerplate. The status page says sometimes they can make a decision in 24h, otherwise check back within 7-10 days. Sounds like it's classed as two types of waits. I figure I should give them the 24h window (meaning Monday I assume) to see if it's the simple type rather than the complicated type and not look desperate. I've seen a few threads here were people did hear back within hours or days (and plenty where they didn't.)
Plus it'll harsh my mellow for the weekend of "maybe" becomes "no" on a Friday, even if the wait anxiety sucks. I can at least believe it's not hopeless for a few days
Congrats on the CLI and application! I'm crossing my fingers for you. Check your email and spam folders in the meantime.
Well, to be fair to everyone else, once there is an approval, thread gets locked.
