Regarding Discover Secured after Graduation

I've had a graduated Discover IT Chrome for awhile now, and was wondering if anyone else had started with a secured Discover card, had it graduate, and had it grow at all? Curious - as mine has been graduated for about 6 months now, and was wondering if it was one that might grow or not.

They should review to increase your limit automatically after the 7th month. You can try and call them and ask nicely for a CL upgrade Smiley Happy.

@naomislivko The 7th month after graduation? I think the 6th month since graduation is in a few days.

No - 7th month from day 1 of the card. There's no guarantee you'll get an upgrade though - since that's based on your entire credit history (has to be completely paid as agreed - both for Discover and not.). Call them and hopefully they can give you a CL upgrade.

Re: Regarding Discover Secured after Graduation

@naomislivko Thanks, but I understand the rules for graduation from secured to unsecured. My card has already graduated. I was asking if anyone had any experience when it came to CLIs with a graduated Discover card - post graduation.

Mine graduated in February 2021 and I haven't been able to get a CLI since then. My scores have improved significantly since it graduated, but I am still working to rebuild after some charge-offs in 2018-2019 (all paid now). I'm hoping that is what is holding me back, and once those start falling off next year they will start showing me love.

@Mitch953 What denial reason do you get? I always get "insufficient experience with current credit limit" regardless of use.
