Regular and Student Credit Cards

I'm planning to apply for the citi forward card this week, but realized they only have the student version available. I'm thinking of applying for it since i am a student, but the question is, would i get a lower CL that if i applied for the regular version (if it was available). Same question for the discover IT.

Re: Regular and Student Credit Cards

Probably not.  Your stated income is the major factor regarding your CL.  Student versions are there so it is easier for students to get approved.

Re: Regular and Student Credit Cards

I doubt it. I was approved for $4k with nothing more than a summer job and some student loan money. Granted, this was in '09 when the card was still the MTVU card.
