So I applied for a Chase Freedom card with a 703 TU and 696 Equifax and a BK 7 years ago. Rejected. Your score means nothing. 700 is not "good".

As always, it's not just about score.  Look at your entire credit picture and consider all the factors that go into your credit score.

In my opinion, no matter what the circumstances are; filling bankruptcy is a big mistake!

Well, perhaps a little strong!  Yes, there can be serious, lasting consequences for filing.  But in some cases, the alternatives are worse.   Just depends.   Obviously, don't file for near-frivilous reasons, but not sure anyone really does that.

Re: Rejected

You can try for a recon. I applied a year ago fora CSP and was denied. I had some bads fall of this year and I applied again and was denied again. I called and asked why and it was because of charge-offs I had WITH Chase 8 years ago. Although it was off my report it wasn't out of their system. So, on paper I was a denial, but if you actually talk to someone and explain the situation they can overturn a calculated denial.

Re: Rejected

And another thing. I asked on this board about which card I should apply for and no one answered. They told me to use the search function which yielded only old results. I will not be asking for any more help here.

Re: Rejected

You went for a prime card and got rejected. No sense in getting mad or throwing a fit. This is your credit profile that is tied to your life, you shouldn't apply based on what this board tells your or what card they tell you. Search around on multiple boards and sources and take in all the information and then make an informed decision on what card best suits your needs at this time. .

Some advice: Discover and Barclaycard tend to be more forgicing of COs and BKs.
