Yeah, most of my cards post rewards after the statement cuts.
Capital One is an exception. Rewards post immediately. And I believe that it takes two statements for AMEX to post rewards.
I'm sure someone will comment specifically on Discover.
I've never paid that much attention to itemized charges, and amounts earned at each swipe. Only at statement time, thus when I see my total rewards earned.

Can comfirm. Discover is after statement.
Your rewards will generally post within 24 hours of your statement cutting and then another day or so for your cash back match on your one year anniversary to update. They’ll show up soon after the statement date.
Capital One is one of the few who post rewards after a purchase has posted.
Many cards tell you the amount of the reward as soon as the transaction posts. But your your money or points won't become available until later.
