Re: SPG signup bonuses back up

I have an SPG business card, it has 34,000 points remaining. If I send the referral to my wife she'll get the 100,000 points, I get 20,000 but what business name should she use, mine? (she's a corporate officer) but she's never gotten any card in the business name before. Also, assuming we can take the SPG Busines offer should we take the points now or wait for the new card later this month?

Re: SPG signup bonuses back up

I am def interested in these cards if the points can be transferred 1:1 still?  I am mainly interested in airline transfers.

For most of my hotel stays they are last minute and I prefer to pay cash.

For the business version can you be a sole proprietor?

For the business version is it a hidden tradeline?

As far as what I've seen here on the forums--the only business cards that DO REPORT are TD Bank Bus. and Cap One Spark.

AMEX business cards are a hidden tradeline and won't appear on your reports. As far as app rules for AMEX here assuming we're talking about the SPG cards specifically you can't apply for both cards at the same time due to AMEX's 1/5 rule which limits one credit card (not including charge cards) approval every 5 days. So if you want both cards you'll have to app for each card five days apart.

I would not use the 100k bonus to transfer to airline miles.  You would get around 38k airline miles by doing that.  The hotels points are much more valuable.  Especially with Marriott where you can get a fifth night free on award stays.  I can see where you need a few miles to top up some airline miles but transferring 100k of Marriott points for 38k airline miles would be a complete waste of your points.
