I applied Sallie Mae on Sun. around 1 am and got a 7-10 days notice. I called the backdoor number for Customer Service and the rep could see my application, yet could not do anything to speed it up. So I called the Credit Analyst number, but they were closed during the weekend. Then I called the Security Department, yet the rep could not locate my application. The weird thing was that the Security Department rep asked me, "Are you comfortable to provide your social security number to me?" I did give it to him, yet he still could not find my application. He suggested me to call back in the morning.I called back around 9 am to all 3 numbers. Again, the Customer Service rep could see my app but could not do anything about it. This time, neither the credit analyst, nor the Security Department rep could locate my application. To my surprise, the Security Department rep asked me the same question, " Are you comfortable to provide your SSN to me?" I gave it to her, yet she still could not locate my app! But the same questions had been asked the same way twice, which made me concern whether or not it was wise to give them my SSN...anyway, I am going to call them again on Monday.
most likely your application is delegated to a specific underwriter / department for review and you will need to wait until they process your application. it may also be an ID verification issue.
Just give it some time.
Maybe I should have waited, since I got my arrival last Nov.

@enharu
Congrats! It seems like you have gotten your Chase cards back according to your sig.
Just called Barclays Credit Analyst, it was a denial due to many accounts were opened last year. Recon was a denial also with same reason.
Time to garden strong.
