Sallie Mae bookstore question

I've read a lot of people say the Sallie Mae's bookstore 5% category extends to include Amazon. This is probably a dumb question, but does that mean anything you buy on Amazon is 5%, or is it just purchases of books? If it means you can make any Amazon purchase (well up to the cap anyway) for 5% back, that makes Sallie Mae seem even better IMO! It's one of the cards I'd like to get at some point. I buy stuff on Amazon sometimes, but rarely books.

Everything on amazon counts, since it is all processed under the same payment category.

Yep, totally, totally BEYOND awesome!

To clarify, everything purchased from Amazon and Amazon Marketplace sellers earns the 5% on Sallie Mae. Certain other Amazon-related things don't. Prime membership, for instance, and Amazon payments don't get the bonus. But you can be confident that any products you buy on Amazon will. Great, isn't it?

That sucks. Gotta get those amex cards for the free year of prime. Smiley Tongue

No wonder Barclays is making me sweat it out before finally (hopefully) landing that puppy. I been burning up the Synchrony Amazon card, PIF, rinse and repeat! but with no rewards that compare with Sallie girl Smiley Happy

Re: Sallie Mae bookstore question

Not everything on Amazon counts as books. Digital game purchases do not count. All physical goods count as books.

Re: Sallie Mae bookstore question

Well, I can understand them not including prime membership or digital purchases, but including any physical purchase is pretty sweet! The cap for this is 750/month, correct?
