I looked at this bank only because I received a mailer for a $300 checking bonus. For the first year, up to $20 K of spend, Santander's Ultimate Cash Back offers 3% cash back on purchases. After that it reverts to a 1.5% card.
The card and the checking bonus don't suit my situation right now. Though, for people in this bank's area, it might offer a temporary taste of that 3% goodness offered by AOD without jumping through all the hoops.
