I would say that unless you need those points right now, or unless you don't fly much, it makes much more sense to wait. With the 1.25 multiplier, these 40kUR are worth 500 $ when booking flights, a cool 100$ increase.

I've never booked a flight through Chase is the pricing discounted/competitive?
I know with my BofA Travel Card the rates booking through their travel center at way higher than the pricing I've found elsewhere so I'll never book through them I'm hoping it's not the same with Chase.
The UR portal's pricing seems good to me (I was able to purchase UA tickets for less than what UA/Google flights showed at the same time). But eitherways you are not forced to use it that way and with just 1.25X on CSP it might work out better to transfer points directly to partner anyways. The everything 1 to 1 transfer means you get to choose what you value most without having to factor in a multiplier (which makes most choices equally unattractive).

Hmm but wouldn't a bonus $100 or more be worth it? I'm just wondering.
Also consider that you will have a bunch more URs if and when you get the CSP bonus. So you might want to look at award travel and see if you would really find value in awards around the 100K mile level on the partner (and partner of partner) airlines or hotels.

I guess you'll have to decide on whether something is worth it or not but the relative valuations have changed since last Aug (since CSR gives "a bonus of $200").
Also UA and HYATT have been claimed by many for 'over 2CPP' which would translate to "a bonus of over $400" I have never been able to get those valuation myself though, but YMMV and eitherways the value here is easy to check since you can get on UA/HYATT websites now to look at how many points/$ a ticket/night costs.
