Sears (Citibank)

I had a Citibank Visa listed in my BK back in 04/05.   Sears uses Citibank for their store card.  Anyone know if they would be BK friendly?  My scores are from 669 - 690.

Re: Sears (Citibank)

apply. They will not care. CITI only facilitates transactional side of this card. The money is SEARS's and not the CITI's

I mean the money put up as reserves for your credit line will come from Sears funds, so they are interested in you making a purchase more, then your relations with Citibank.

Re: Sears (Citibank)

Is it just me or is Sears very stingy with their credit lines?  This is the lowest CL I have on any credit card.  I've actually never even used it.... I'm thinking about cancelling...

I had Sears for a couple of years and I found that they were notorious for randomly raising and lowering my credit limit ($25 - $75 in either direction) every couple of months or so without any explanation whatsoever.  I finally got fed up with it and cancelled a few months ago. Smiley Indifferent

I had a BK in '98 and I have been turned down 2 times for the Sears card due to BK. But OP seem to have better success in applying with some companies than I do. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Re: Sears (Citibank)

i used to work for sears, and, although it's a bad policy IMHO, when a lowly cashier (formerly me) signs you up for a card the can see your credit limit. the HIGHEST i ever saw was around 2k, but i saw many $150-$500 limits. (of course, this is my limited sampling of working in one sears and only handling in-store, time-of-purchase apps) the occasions where i saw the highest limits were if you applied during a large purchase, they'd put it right at that large purchase amount, so you're starting maxed out.
