Does Citi do the same thing as SYNCB if you can't get the MC you get the store card?

I believe you have to apply for the mc on its own as last time i applied in store they asked which card i wanted to apply for. Not sure if they offer the normal one but from past experience id say you'd need at least over 700 to qualify for the mc version. Heck took me awhile to finally get back my Sears
