Secured BofA Visa questions

I haven't had a chance to call them to convert to a rewards card yet. I was hoping to open up a chat for that but he had no luck getting a chat link. For those of you who have called, which number did you call? The secured back door number or just the regular customer service number on the back of the card?

 just opened a checking\savings account with them . I never knew they only did soft pulls for checking . Was your secured card a hard pull ?

Yes, it was a hard pull on Experian (I'm in California, btw). It wasn't an instant approval for me though, even with the deposit waiting in my savings account. It took a couple of days for the approval and for the deposit to get withdrawn from my savings.

I didn't know my scores before or immediately after but I believe that this card has helped tremendousy in improving my scores. I've kept utilization relatively low (20% mostly) and have paid in full every month. I've now gotten a car loan with BofA ($15k @ 3.09% interest) just 5 months after being approved for my secured visa.
