Re: Seem to be not so great limits..?

Is there a question?

App sprees with a weak profile don't net high limits.  High scores don't always mean a good "score" when apping.

What did you end up applying for?  What were the specific results?  This may help others that are thinking about doing the same thing.

Re: Seem to be not so great limits..?

Welcome to the board . Never base your scores off Vantage 3.0 they could be off as much 30 pts or more. Fico scores tell the truth...  Can you give us a rundown of your credit profile? Congrats on getting approved on your 5 cards, depending on card your credit limits can grow

Re: Seem to be not so great limits..?

Disco isn't known for a high CL when opening an account but, as you get to know each other better they can certainly over take your other CL's with CLI's.

Citi is a low ball offer and takes ages to gain steam w/o a HP CLI.  I've been playing around with them for a couple of years and here's what I've noticed.  The opening CL isn't their best offer.  Both accounts I went ahead and took a HP CLI at activation and gained 5K on each of them and subsequent CLI's that are SP have been 2K/ea time.

BCE will grow quickly at 61 days it could be 6K and another 180 days later it could be 18K.

Re: Seem to be not so great limits..?

Disco provides TU FICO

AMEX provides EX FICO

Citi provides EQ Fico BANKCARD 08

It will probably take a couple of months to show up but it will.

Re: Seem to be not so great limits..?

That is true that's what I noticed obscure-expert. That Citi gave me a CL on one card at 2,300 CL, a SP and CLI of 2,400 more almost before I hit the enter button haha.. Another of them stared me at 5000 that was simplicity. I'm just so surprised at discover tho.

Re: Seem to be not so great limits..?

Whats a not so great limit? I haven't read very many app sprees stories resulting in big limits. Although getting approved for all of them is better than most people do. Multiple apps over a short period of time can be seen as a sign of desperation often as a result of financial stress. The low limits are the banks way of mitigating some of the risk.
