I am on the fence about trying Shipt. How does Shipt code? Grocery? Or something else? What card do you use to get the most cashback or points out of your Shipt orders? Do you like the service?

I used my AMEX Blue Cash card when they had a deal where if you spent a certain amount, you got some cash back. It coded as grocery and I got my 6% back (I had the preferred card at the time) in addition to the bonus amount. I also have used my PNC Visa when they also had a deal for spending $50 and getting $10 back, and it coded as grocery for them as well.
I'm not sure if it matters where they shop at, but the store was Meijer and it codes as grocery. Shipt also shops Target among other stores, which does not code grocery, but I'm not sure if it codes differently depending on where they shop.
I'm going to assume that it always codes the same since the charge didn't mention Meijer and only mentioned Shipt, and in that case, for AMEX BCP and PNC Visa, it is grocery.

I really didn’t expect it to code as grocery – especially for Amex. This is terrific news.
Where I live, Target, Weis, Safeway, and Harris Teeter are available through Shipt. I would use Safeway, primarily, but could see myself using Target as well. Safeway has its own delivery service also. For orders under $150, Safeway charges $12.99 for delivery – no tipping permitted. (I assume/hope their shoppers are well paid). The Shipt website seems easier to use than the Safeway site – but the Safeway site shows more available items.
Shipt is running a subscription special and I have offers from BoA and Amex.
I use Shipt weekly and no matter where you ordered groceries from it codes as groceries for Amex cards. I was using the BCP but now I’m using the Amex Gold.
The same goes for Amazon Fresh and InstantCart.
