ShopDiscover pays 5% cashback for sears?

I have not made a purchase through the shopdiscover site.  Has anyone received actual cashback from discover when shopping at sears?  Just wanted to know if anyone here has received 5% cashback for shopping through the shopdiscover links?  And if so how soon do they pay?

Discover IT $19,000 == 12/2013
AMEX 12/2013 ---BCP $12,000 === BC $23,000 ----- 04/2014
CHASE SLATE $5,700 === 12/2013
BoA 123 $6000 === 12/2013
Barclay Rewards $1500 == 12/2013

it is 10% cashback for sears if you use shopdiscover. In most cases you will get the cashback by the next statement, though it can take longer sometimes.

I haven't shopped at Sears using ShopDiscover but I shopped at OfficeMax using ShopDiscover on 12/18/13 and received an email on 12/20/13 that I earned a 5% cashback bonus.

Re: ShopDiscover pays 5% cashback for sears?

I am getting conflicting info from people that have used the Shopdiscover portal.  Some claim you get cashback even if you don't use your discover card for payment.  Others say using discovercard is required to receive cashback.

Which one is correct?

Also does shopping at sears via the discover links show up on statement as RETAIL or ONLINE/Internet category?

Thanks for any help.

sears is currently 10% cash back, you norm get the cash back on the statement cut the periord you make  the purchase, i used in in dec to get tires was well worth it ended up getting 15 % back because it was also counted as 5% for online shopping,  also was able to use $50 off purchase offer that was on the site, and got a mfg rebate so i ended up getting  $70 cash back from discover and got $70 debt card from the mail in rebate. cant speak to being able to get cash back w/ out using discover as payment type.

you can use other payment cards.

just turn off any ad blocking software, use shopdiscover, check out, and use whatever form of payment you want.

You will still get the shopdiscover bonus. I've done this for many merchants, and always got the bonus except one time, which probably was due to my fault.

Enharu, if what you say is correct that makes Shopdiscover the best cashback site on the web.

Upromise,crumbs and topcashback, plinks, and others seem to havce many issues with payments and light selection of merchants.

Theoretically, 10% from shop discover, 3% from sears loyal rewards, and 3% Amex rewards for select retail stores = 16%.

There's also ebates and fatwallet. And if you want to include miles / points program, there's also UR, Merrill points, and also other airlines / hotels loyalty programs.

Best to just look around and see which referral portal has the best rates for each merchant.

Certain portals sometimes have better rates for certain merchants.

In general I usually use Shopdiscover or UR for most of my online purchases.

Re: ShopDiscover pays 5% cashback for sears?

Thanks Enharu, I've just started getting back into credit cards the past two months after many years of using debit.   Referral portals can be more profitable than even cashback reward CCs.

Just two weeks ago I found out I can get $1.50/gallon discount on gas simply by using my credit card at grocery stores.  Smiley Happy
