I tried overstock and was pre approve for $20,000 cl. I wish I could get a Visa card from one of the stores. Credit score is 790

Have you tried Sportsman Guide?  Besides with a 790 score  surely you can get a Visa fom someone with a better APR

Re: Shopping Cart Trick 2014

Okay, I went to Overstock.com, I put something in my cart and went to pay. I got the pop up telling me I'm preapproved and do I want to accept.  But it's asking me for my whole social security number.  I'm guessing this is a hard pull.  When I click on the social security question mark, it states they need the information to confirm my identity and to aquire information from credit bureaus.  I thought the pop up was for a soft pull.

Re: Shopping Cart Trick 2014

no, I signed up for overstock.com. I added a TV to my cart and hit checkout now.  That's when the pop up came up.  I thought it was a hard pull so I clicked out of it and now I can't get it back.  I even deleted my cookies.  haha

Re: Shopping Cart Trick 2014

Too bad most of their stuff is overpriced or else I'd buy more from them.

You don't have to enter your card number but you must fill out the address

Re: Shopping Cart Trick 2014

It was a soft pull. I can't never get a pop up for sportsman"s guide, total rewards or mypoints. Every time I make a purchase at overstock after being approved, they cancel my order. Anyone having that problem
