Shopping cart trick bummer

So I tried the shopping cart trick for a vs card. I tried multiple time and it would not work. I read that the address had to match exactly how it is on your credit report. My credit report has my current address and my previous address (my parents address). I entered my previous address and viola it worked. I declined it because it was not my current address. How do I get it to work for my ADDRESS? I have been here for two years,

Are all your CRs updated with the current information?  It is likely that Comenity/VS is still referencing the older information that was provided to them from that particular CRA.  Since these are marketing offers, there's realy not much you can do to force it to read your new address.  They'll just need to eventually get the most current update on file.

You could accept it under the old information, but you will need to call customer service right away to update your address. Because its a brand new account, they will have to do additional verification (security questions) before they can change the address, but since the card has not been sent yet, u should be ok. I worked for Capital One Retail Services for a few years recently, and that was always the process.

The only one that has my previous address listed first is EQ. Tu and EX have my current address listed first.
