Citi Dividend Platinum Select Mastercard CL 5900. Called for CLI at activation, asked for 6,000, transferred to a foreign call center, and promptly denied. They asked for my annual income, and the rep assured me they didn't pull credit report.

But on a happier note, I pulled the trigger on an AMEX zync to offset the AAoA drop from the new citi mastercard. It was instant approval

A 100 CLI request on a 5900 starting CL doesn't exactly leave the impression that you mean business

Why not let any subsequent requests reflect your good payment history and current CLs?
