Should I apply for a new card?

Hello,

We just recently purchased a home.  I just app'd a HD card as we have several home projects and I just put the refi check in the mail for a refi on my car.  (My scores just recently went up, check my sig). None of these things have hit my CR yet. Here are my cards:

Target: 9/07        $200 CL zero balance
Chase Amazon: 12/07 $400 CL zero balance
HD:                      02/08 $1001 CL $450 balance (interest free 6 months)
BOA:                   06/04 $2400 CL $600 balance (Pay off by end of month)

My question is, I have a BOA card with a 29% APR (opened this 3 years ago when credit was worse.  I was thinking of app for a new CC with a lower rate and doing a BT.  I would keep that card open, as it is my longest CC, but I want a better rate.

What is your advise?

I would go back to BofA and do there pre-qual thing.
Wont' help with balance transfer of your other BofA but you are long customer, you might get best CL and rate from them. and those scores are really good.

Re: Should I apply for a new card?

Well...

I did just app for both.  I have a fraud alert on my CR, so I proactively called both companies after I appd online.  Discover approved me with a 3000 CL & chase said they will give me an answer in the mail in 5-7 business days and that she couldn't pull up my app.

If I get the chase with a CL above my chase amazon, I'm just going to close the chase amazon.  I only opened the account 3 months ago.

Thanks for your help...now I have a better APR!!!!!!!!!

Re: Should I apply for a new card?

If they approve you on the chase ...you may want to see is they will move the cl and history from your old card to the new card. Good luck!
