Should I use my PayPal Credit?

I've had this account for like 4 years, barely ever used it. My limit is $8,600, which I got on request about 7 months ago. Since then my credit has gone from around 725 to 750. I have a total credit limit of $21,500 and utilize under 3% at all times, usually closer to 1%. I was debating on asking for another increase, OR/and to get a purchase on it, something under $400 (maybe an Apple Watch, I wanna be more active).

I read tha Synchrony is skittish during the pandemic and issues CLDs. What do you think?

Re: Should I use my PayPal Credit?

Well, why don't you typically use the card? Assuming you have the PayPal Cashback Mastercard and not the sucky PayPal Extras Mastercard, 2% back on everything is pretty much the best "catchall" $0 AF cashback card you'll find, with the sole exception of a few obscure credit union cards (Alliant, AOD, MidFlorida and USAA Limitless).

If you just want to keep some activity on the card, and have a "better" card (such as AOD) that you use as your typical driver, then there's no need to put a $400 watch on the card just for activity's sake. A single tank of gas or Burger King dinner could work. I put a $4/month New York Times digital subscription on my 1.8% back Citizens Bank card to keep it active; I'm not giving up too much with the 0.2% difference in cash back on $4/month.

Re: Should I use my PayPal Credit?

Thanks. So it's PayPal Credit and it's digital only, there's no physical card. It's all back through synchrony. I was wanting to make sure that the card didn't close since the limit is high and also 5 years old. I do wanna get something for myself.

In your opinion is it better to have something small on a credit line like this financed. It would be under 3% utilize and show I'm using it
