From my experience it is best to have 3 statements with an A/R. My husband had a recent A/R but was not on his third statement and didn't receive an increase, so we figured he needed the 3 statements and then would apply again after the A/R. We will try again for him in September and see how that goes.
I agree with everyones advice regarding the YMMV for the hard pull. Luckily he did not receive one as we were able to get through quick enough, but that doesn't appear to be the case for everyone.
@AverageJoe lol! That is exactly how I feel. I don't want to push my luck so I am wondering if it is best to leave the limit alone. I was quite astonished at the amount of the last CLI. I was hoping for 3K or so so the 17K CLI almost made me faint lol!

Since the AR is at the same time for everybody, you can also just wait until others have reported it happening on here.
