If you don't yearn for any cards at the moment then it is good to garden. The more time between applications, the better...

Can't really tell because I have no idea when you got your other cards. Being that you have picked up five cards in the past year you probably want to chill out. If you picked up all five cards a year ago then that may be a different story. Of course, you should never be applying for the sake of applying and would only app if there is a card you can use. Honestly, those are pretty good cards and limits for someone with one year or less of history.

The CSP may be a good fit since you already have the freedom card. If you want a non-AF card you could go for the Amex Everyday card.

Yes thanks, they told me the same too that I have good credit cards for my age on credit. Right now I only want travel cards and card with no foreign transaction fee. After that i won't apply anymore cards I'll start gardening.
Anytime someone asks "should I garden?" or "should I app or should I wait?" or anything of that nature I always say yes.
The fact you are asking indicates you probably know in the back of your mind that you want/need to garden. And that's fine. You don't have to add cards at any predetermined rate. Do what feels best for you.

Some practical questions, what are your scores now (an estimate is fine)? Do you have any major purchases planned in the next year, like a house or a car?
If no major purchases and if you feel confident you can qualify, I don't see the harm in judiciously applying for a card that you really want and which would round out your card portfolio. It will only get those cards out of the way now so you can garden later, build up history with those accounts you take now vs. later, and better prepare you for a major purchase in the future, where you'll actually need the credit. ![]()
Just my two cents!

Good point, but was planning to lease house. Will it affect it?
