Signing into multiple Comenity accounts

I have two Comenity cards. AAA Visa and Bread Rewards AMEX. I received the Visa first so that is set up on the app. I can't see both cards on the same login so I'd have to sign out. But... I get a message that says the info provided is incorrect when I try to sign into the AMEX account. This happened with the app and in a brower. I called them to figure this out. The rep sent me a link to sign into. The site looked the same as I was using but it worked there. I ended up saving the link to the home screen on my phone so I'll access it that way. I know I entered the correct user name/password before. Anyone else have a problem signing into multiple accounts from them?

Bread/Comenity is more than a bit of a pain in this sense. Basically each account (card) has its own password but they generally have you use the same userid. I saw a post on reddit a while back that had a clunky workaround but does seem to work. It goes like this:

  • STEP 1: Go to an address in Bread Financial's website, which is the new name for Comenity Bank. Google the address as "bread financial find your credit card account" or follow this link: link to bread

  • STEP 2: Scroll down to find your card in any of the 12 tiles below. If it's not there, then use the search bar under "Find your credit card account To sign in to your account, first search your credit card." The search bar reads "Credit card name".

  • STEP 3: Write the name of your brand of the card. Like "Ross" for example.
  • STEP 4: This will prompt you to the exact same Comenity website that doesn't let you in, but somehow it works when you do STEP 1 to 3. I'm guessing it works because you're sent from Bread Financial's website. I don't know
  • STEP 5: Put your info in and sign in and it should let you in.

This issue gave me pause to open an online savings with Bread even though I have a credit card with them. At the point of having a separate password for the second account I might as well have an account with a different institution. I went that route and got an even better savings rate.

Ya, its a pain. I find myself forgetting that the new password for the second card i added in the app was required to have x2 additional characters than the original cards login did, so, obviously different passwords.

I'll start remembering eventually. Lol

No luck with this. I ended up contacting them a few weeks ago. The representative sent me a link to connect to. I was able to access my account that way. And then I couldn't. The message I keep getting is - Your details don’t match our records. Please check that you’ve entered the correct username (this won't be your email address) and password.

I like the Rewards and from what I read, the limits will grow nicely but this is frustrating. I'll have to contact them again. And I have confirmed that the information I am entering is correct.
