I gotta say.....

Synchrony Bank is the most thorough bank in intel I've ever read about.  They look to see if you're purchasing furniture and having it delivered to another address.  They're looking to see if your current address is updated with current tax bills, insurance, etc.  They're looking to see if you've changed your job.  They don't just look at your Fico scores, they don't just look at your VS4 either....they are like all up in your business.  They are going to shut you down if you look like a Bust Out potential.  They will cull through your currently reported positives/negatives/ slightest changes.... like say "divorce" or career change.... and so on.  Anything out of the extreme may trigger the sledge hammer.

.....and all this I have read online and in their white papers.  Not only that, I see their inquiries into Lexis Nexis, local gov't sites on our personal taxes, value of home, etc.....even subscriptions to magazines.

And yet even though I have some of their cards, their cards don't offer that much in ways that  a full exam like that  should.  I mean they even want video selfies for a cc approval. Lolwut, not even Chase or the other big banks do that. Honestly I don't even think all of this invasiveness is about a credit card but them having more power with your info.  .

Re: Since the Synchrony account closure thread appears closed ...

FWIW, yesterday I received the official FORM LETTER response to my escalated complaint  (which was specific to my Verizon Card) on a detailed reason for the closure.  The form letter suggested the reason was "too many Sync products".

I find that reasoning slightly silly, given their answer was to close them ALL rather than the "too many", but it brings a closig chapter to a sad and irritating story.

THE END

And with that recent update from the OP, the thread is now locked and closed to new messages.

While it is not the favorable outcome you may have expected, it is at least some closure of the SYNCB [AA] chapter.
