When Cap 1 first rolled this program out I immediately combined two of my cards into a third Quicksilver I had. Ever since I get the "sorry no cards eligible screen", even though I have three cards that meet all of the listed requirements. I realize there are more hidden requirements, but all I can go by is what we can see. Three days ago I passed the six month mark of when I initially combined accounts. I figured this might be what I was waiting for to finally be eligible again, but nope, still "no cards eligible". What a joke this "service" is.
I'm stuck in the same boat. I have 2 Quicksilvers and a Venture One that all currently have a 0 balance. I use them every month and pay in full and my accounts a YEAR old. It still says no cards eligible. When I call, the CSR sys they do not have access to combine accounts and that the accounts should be able to be combined using the tool. Then they tell me the tool is still very new and still has bugs. I cant find a decent backdoor number anywhere for Cap1 and all the numbers listed here seem to go to the same department (CSRs who are not helpful). I can say though that the last CSR i spoke with upgraded my QS1 to a QS so now none of my card have the AF. If you have luck let me know because i would LOVE to combine my accounts as well so I only have 1 account to deal with with a much larger limit. Good luck to ya!
CSR should be aloud to do this like other lenders as clearly their system has bugs/issues and many people such as OP and myself and tons of others fall within the parameters, but it fails to work. They shouldn't offer a half arse service. One wouldn't think it would be to hard to fix the issues or at least state what it isn't allowing combintion so you can address these such as account two new, account balance, etc... Hopefully one year they figure this crud out as alot of people as OP and myself are frustrated with this.

Quick way to determine which path to take for resolution.
Log into your cap one account.
Once logged in, open another tab - or use the same one ang go to URL: https://services2.capitalone.com/api/selfservice/accountcombination/eligibility
Look towards the bottom of the page and locate a line that says:
"httpStatus":"200","customerEligibleToCombineAccounts":true}
If it states true as above, then you're good because the issue is a bug and Capital One is very aware of and should resolve for you.
If it states false, then, well, you have some old account or adversity that was linked to you that is preventing the ability to combine. However, since you were successful before hand, then I would say it's a bug.

I just zeroed out two accounts eligible by their guidelines and still a no-go. One of them is still in a 0% promo period, I'm wondering if that's a problem - maybe cap1 doesn't want those accounts to be combined during the promotional period to create s large limit. Maybe they need to have statements cut at zero? Maybe I need 6 statements not just six calendar months, I gave no clue but I'll keep trying.
I got rid of my au too, just in case that was a hold up, no dice. Waited another month, no go. I just want to know why, what I need to work on or wait for. I don't care why you say no, just tell me!!!!!!! Not sure why the big secret?!?
Has anyone been able to combine accounts while having one of the accounts in a 0% promo period? Please let us know. I'm hoping someone has been successful at this and does respond. I'm eligible for combining at end of January and I do have one of the accounts in a 0% promo period.

My QS Visa was under a 0% promo until the middle of November, and I was eligible to combine my cards both before and after the promotion ended, so you should be fine. In my case it didn't make any difference.
I truly wish they would fix this for everybody. I'm trying to 'hold off' until the summer before I combine mine (to give me one more shot at a CLI on each card before the QS1 AF is charged) but I'm actually having second thoughts about that. If they take the feature offline again I'll be angry with myself for being 'greedy'... oh well. ![]()

This is what happens when following that link:

EDIT: Nevermind found it....returns a FALSE value ![]()

Mine says false - which I still don't get. I have never had a Capital One card before, they nor any of the companies they bought were included in my ch 7. No relationship with them whatsoever until 2014.
I just want to know what the problem is - it's not cool to roll out a feature and then keep it a big secret on what the holdup is. If I can get a card to replace the limits I have with them, I will be closing the smaller limit cards asap. I cannot believe that NO ONE at Cap1 can override this shoddy coding or tell you a valid reason it isn't working for you. Totally unacceptable!!!
