Ok, Current Scores:
Transunion: 558
Equifax: 576
Experian: 535
My fico score @ Equifax has gone up about 50 points since February of this year. I had previously had some credit problems(obviously), chapter 13 just about 8 years ago.. unable to pay things off really until this year. Rough times to say the least. Getting better though

Current Debt:
Sallie Mae $7500, no lates in 3 years
Citifinancial Car Loan, $25,500 and no lates though my first payment was this March 07.
Capitol One CC: $2965, no lates in 7 months and I brought my balance down from 5K+ ( over the 5k limit ) since that time frame. The card is not available for use.
SNET Judgment for $491 from 2001ish..
Judgement of $688 for another really old bill..
What have I done over the last year ?
- Paid off some other cards in full, that had been closed due to lack of payment.
- Paying my judgements off this month, in full
- Opened a Target Red Card ( $200 limit ) and a Tribute Card ( $300 limit ) in order to start registering more 'on time' payments. I litterally got these cards last week
- Tomorrow I fax Capitol One and request them to enable my card for usage again.
Plans:
- Follow the rules I have read on many threads here... keep my cc usage down to 10percent or less of the cards total credit line and get no late payments on anything!!
Am I on the right track here to success or what?
Recommendations?
I also got screwed by a credit repair agency. I had called them, paid them(still owe $500) to help me fix my credit. I should say I was looking to get some help MANAGING the credit.. and paying lower payments or something to continue paying.. but not as much.. being that I messed up but wanted to pay.
Stop paying your cards was basically the first thing they told me to do. What a mess that caused me over the last 2 years. I thought they would help me make manageable payments without injuring my credit so badly. It's time to get things rolling again here and get my credit score up over 600. I think I can do that in the near term..
