There was a post not long ago about the SuperCash card. I decided to try it and here's my review and its reporting...
Review:
- 2% Cash-back on all purchases. Cash-back redeemable as soon as transaction post. Only redeemable back to the card for spending.
- 5% Cash-back on purchases made within the SuperShop
- 10% Cash-back on hotel bookings made within SuperTravel
I've used SuperTravel at a hotel that I frequent and without using the SuperCash card I saved like $30. (Hotel normally charges $132.60, I paid like $101.xx) Had I used the SuperCash card, I could have saved 10% more. I used another form of payment during that booking. Everything was smooth at check-in. Just needed to show identification.
Reporting:
I've had the card for almost 2 months now. It reports as a secured card. No credit limit reported.
A question that I do have for charge card holders like Amex... Does your spend for the month still get reported even though you paid off the balance before due date or statment-cut? The SuperCash card reported a balance that was already prepaid. Account statements showed -$21.XX
Other than that, so far it's a good 2% prepaid secured card.
Cons:
They allow direct deposit, but I wouldn't do it for the full amount, because once funds are in the account there is no way to ACH/transfer it out or use ATM.
Pros:
Allows you to load account with a debit card (instant) or ACH transfer.
