Sync Amazon card... I don't like it SD time?

So I applied for a Sync Amazon store card and now reading into it more creating an account account I don't like it at all. It's confusing payment allocation seems like a major turn off. I don't have a prime mebership so I don't get 5% back.

Overall It wasn't a waste tho since I got a $120 GC out of it. One of the main reasons I applied.

Seems like I should just SD it until it's closed. I haven't used the card at all yet.

Thoughts?

As long as it doesn't have an AF, let it age. I have prime, so I use it for my normal amazon purchases. Nothing to crazy.

If you're a regular Amazon user, I would keep it. It's not a bad card at all, and I think you'll come to be okay with the way it works. Just try not to carry a balance on it!

If you really don't think you'll use it, though, I would close it. At least you got your GC!

Good luck!

Payment allocation? Pretty simple to pay it online, not sure what you are referring to ?

Re: Sync Amazon card... I don't like it SD time?

I don't have the card, so someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't it come with special financing offers as well?  You know, 0% for 6 or 12 months if the purchase amount is over $xxx?  That might have some use??

i don't recall hearing about any perks of the card changing recently, so if it had attractiveness to you when you applied, what's different now?  I can't imagine that a $120 GC was the pure driver for getting the card was it?  To each their own, but $120 isn't worth it to me when accounting for a new account penalty, inquiry, average age damage, having to keep track of another card, etc.

Its your 3rd csrd so it will help your scoring. Im not sure why its confusing. Just connect a checking account, when you go to buy something on Amazon , if its your preferred method, you will just make a payment from your checking to Amazon card. Done deal. Honestly if you dont have prime, i see less  use for the normal card but i believe you still get back something.  If for nothing else use it for padding.

I would keep it and let it age!  .. you already took the HP and AAoA possibly AoYA hit...

put something on it every 6 months ..so they do not close for inactivity.

you might decide to upgrade to prime at a later date

And Yes, the card does have special financing promotion.  ..

For Me,  The card is a no brainer. (I do have Prime)

Even without Prime, the ability to finance things over a longer period can come in handy. It's really not that confusing and you can configure how payment is applied.

I have mine set up like this so that my payments always go to my monthly charges first so I won't get hit with interest on those.

You can also just use Equal Pay and never have to worry about deferred interest at all.

Definitely use the card though. This card can be a great gateway to other Sync cards like Marvel and PayPal Cashback and those are gateways to high limits that help you get prime cards.

I think the Sync Amazon card is tremendous, for a few reasons.   There is nothing confusing about it to me.

Different strokes for different folks.

This makes a bit more sense using that option then as you have it setup and clears is up for me.
