Sync - Lowes

I received a tiny limit ($500) from Lowe's card. I spent $468 and took advantage of the 5% off instead of the 0%. I immediately sent a balance transfer to cover the purchase. The BT has yet to post. After 51 days I get my first statement. Full amount, BT hasn't gone through on either end. Has anyone had this problem before?

US Bank, the BT source hasn't charged me yet. They have reduced my available credit, which is fair. What is up with Synchrony? Why haven't they accepted payment before first statement?

I've done BTs from Synchrony before (i.e. let another card pay Synchrony) and it usually goes without a hitch, often in just a few days.

Since in this case US Bank is who is sending the funds, give them a call and they should be able to tell you the status of the payment.  If the check has cleared (or ACH was processed) then you'll have the info you need to reach-out to Synchrony to have them track it down.

Re: Sync - Lowes

That stinks. If you have Discover, it might be best to use them to do a bt, as if you have the option, funds can be transferred directly to your checking and then you could pay Lowes directly. Much faster and better imo. Just dont understand why banks cant pay electronically now a days?Smiley Sad
