Re: Sync has repeatedly reported my new PPMC 6 times.

I have had erratic reporting with a few of my Synch accounts. Seems every time I make a large purchase, they like to report on the day the charge posts. I’m sure there’s some other trigger, but if my card is going to have 92% utilization for 17 hours-that’s when they decide to do an off cycle reporting.

But-on the PPMC specifically, it took them a good 2 months to decide what they wanted to name it. So it reported every week or two with a slightly different name (eg PP MasterCard, Paypal CB, PPCB, etc.).

That eventually settled and now it’s called whatever they call it and it reports on the statement date and/or whenever I make a big purchase and/or the moon phases are in line with Venus in retrograde Aquarius mercury Pisces Capricorn Big Dipper or whatever other triggers they are using.

I haven’t called them. I wanted to see if it was just SOP for them early on before I did.
I didn’t keep up with credit rating back when I got my Sync Summit/Car Care card, so I don’t know what it did early on. Since I have been keeping up with my credit rating, my Summit card has been rock solid reporting on the 15th or 16th of each month.
I’ve only charged about $600 on it since I got it a few weeks ago to meet the SUB requirement, but starting next month, I’ll be cycling $3000+ monthly through it because it will become my DD. I guess I’ll make extra payments for a while to keep my utilization down.

Not a bad policy, but as I am sure you already know, utilization and scores really only matter when applying for new credit (or increases) and doesn't really matter to aged files that are not subject to the same reviews thin files are.

Strange you guys are going thru all this stuff. My card is 7 months old now. It acts like any other card I have. I use it almost everyday. Goes thru the motions. I pay it down to 4% as it is my AZEO card. Statement post. Pay it. Clears next day. Rinse and repeat.
