So when I first got my Synovus card you had to apply in a branch. They are not inquiry or new account sensitive, and tend to dole out some generous lines. They are geo restricted but offer decent offers with no AF. I've got their cash rewards card (3% dining & you pick another 3% rotating quarterly category for up to $3k).
So they're going thru a whole website change and noticed today that they'll now be taking apps online starting 4/27. Looks like they're joining us in the 21st century lol I'm not sure if it was always available for existing customers before. I only have one card with them and nothing else so I was stuck on their "other" app that was for "card holder accounts only"
That's great news....Do you have to have an account with them to apply for cc?
You don't have to have a checking/savings with them, but your cashback will be via statement credit without one. I was digging into this one hard until AOD came along. We have Synovus all around us here in SC.

@Taurus22 is spot on. You dont have to have any other items with them. When I applied I had no relationship with them and to this day I only have their card. When I was in FL I saw them from time to time, but now that I'm in SC they're all over the place
@credit_is_crack this is nothing new if you hold a CC or other type of account with them you can apply online. What is new is their CC cardview.com website will be no more and part of synovus.com thank gosh after the weekend is over!

@CreditCuriosity thanks for confirming! I wasn't too sure since I've only had that card-view app. Still seems odd they'd make folks head in to apply for anything, but they'll do what they do!
What is their georestricted area?
