TD Bank 'warning' letter

Just received a letter from the TD Bank advising me that I haven't used their TD Cash credit card in over a year, and that if I don't use it within the next 60 days, it'll be closed.

Very nice of them to offer the head's up.

While I'm currently in card-reduction mode, I don't want to lose that one. At least, not yet.

Yeah, always nice to get a heads up before a creditor closes you down for inactivity.   Friendly reminder to keep cards active that you don't want to lose  Smiley Happy

Not that I'm at risk of that given my TDCash card is still my most heavily used card, but it is good to know they send out reminders.  Smiley Happy

Re: TD Bank 'warning' letter

There's a website that allows you to contribute $1 to a charity on their list (Dollar Donation I believe). I use it twice a year for all my cards to keep them active. $20 to charity twice a year is a great feeling and it is technically usage, which is all they want.

Re: TD Bank 'warning' letter

I gave up a Truist card recently because it was just a 1% cash back card, relatively low limit and didn't have any Product Change option.

If its not a strong player in your portfolio let it go.

And so today I bought a $20 Lodge griddle.

Guess which card I used?

Re: TD Bank 'warning' letter

Okay, I'm in as well, my TDCash card just bought me the following from Penzeys:

  • 1.8 oz -- Penzeys Chopped Onion
  • 4.0 oz -- Crushed Red Peppers Chili Peppers
  • 3.3 oz -- Vindaloo Seasoning

I've never tried their Indian spices; hopefully I can make some good chicken/lamb/pork Vindaloo.  Smiley Happy

@Horseshoez

Nice.

My better half isn't a fan of cumin, so I mix my own garam masala -- I ratchet down the cumin to just a pinch.
